My interview for April is with the fabulous Amanda Pickering, whom I met at WIBN Wimbledon. She is such an inspiring woman and below are her tips for good health.
How do you start your day?
I do oil pulling, make a cup of tea, journal, read a few pages of an inspiring book (currently She means Business by Carrie Green) and then do 30 minutes of a high intensity interval workout at home.
You are a health coach – what inspired you begin this business?
I dealt with multiple health issues growing up. Before I was 21, I had developed anxiety disorder, glandular fever, chronic fatigue, had a cyst the size of a grapefruit on my ovary, had an overactive thyroid and was 25 pounds overweight. After healing myself from every single illness I had AND losing weight through changing what I ate and how I thought, I made it my life’s mission to help others do the same thing. Now I help women lose weight, heal their bodies and live the life of their dreams through my private coaching practice, group and online programs
In the world of business who would you most like to have lunch with – why and where?
Chalene Johnson – she is my mentor from afar and has had such a huge impact on life and business. Somewhere hot! Maybe Bali 🙂
What are your goals this year for work?…
Launch my group program, inspire and help as many women as possible to live their healthiest happiest lives.
…and your life?
Spend more time with the people I love the most.

What would be your epitaph?
She loved big and she lived fully. She had no regrets

Laugh every single day – that is more important than anything you could put in your mouth

My husband – he is my everything
What one tip would you give to women today to take care of their health?
Cut out processed sugar – white, brown and sweeteners. Sugar and sweeteners are behind 90% of weight gain and sickness. Cut that out and you improve your health dramatically x
